Waking up in the hospital covered in glass is Jeffery Minock’s first memory after that night in 1978, but the shards of disaster that remained with him also marked his way forward. Driven Through Tragedy relates his accounts of a life filled with successful ventures, including his family’s hay-supply business, as well as his achievements as a football coach, interspersed with a personal conviction to overcome adversity and tragedy and “to always move forward in life through goal setting, hard work and determination.” It is a teachable story that will help many children—and even adults—in today’s chaotic world find their way.
