Lila was born in Brooklyn, New York, and later moved to Florida, where she pursued a career in cosmetology. She enjoyed thirty years of working with and learning from the public. An award winner in cosmetology and a former martial-arts student, Lila worked alongside family members, including her two daughters, who share the same profession.

She met the love of her life when she remarried, her husband Michael Rosenblum. Lila enjoys crocheting and has donated 500 hats to cancer patients nationwide, as well as an American-flag afghan to the Ladder 10 firehouse in New York City in memory of September 11. She has enjoyed telling stories throughout her life and draws her greatest inspiration from her strong, determined family.
