Miss Lori is an educator and lifelong learner. She has decades of experience growing and nurturing the minds and hearts of her students, her own children, and herself.
As she writes, she imagines reading the words aloud, hearing her readers laugh, and seeing their love for the quirky characters. She uses humor to gently remind people to embrace themselves and their experiences while learning about life.
Miss Lori is also the illustrator. Her pictures show young readers that artwork does not have to be perfect and that it is okay to have their own style.

Jackie’s Star
Is it wishful thinking that sends young Jackie flying into the sky one night, or the granting of a wish that brings her from the heavens back down to Earth, where she embraces her own unique self? It is both!
Jackie’s Star takes children on a ride from the ordinary to the extraordinary. In the end, Jackie makes a friend, and they both learn a valuable lesson about being true to who they really are.
