Who Am I?
How would you respond—if at all—to the deceptively simple question: Who am I? Many of the writers represented here chose to write semi-autobiographies. Some combined biography with psychological and spiritual reflection on their inner being. One chose the path of surrealism. Many acknowledged the changing quality of our lives and the degree to which a “now” answer is incomplete.
“Who am I?” is liquid and mercurial and, as self-defined, can have tentacles stretching into and beyond clouds or simply landing in a self-prescribed circle. Even its essence can change in the space of a nanosecond.
A happy summary of the book suggests that despite many life challenges and setbacks, the majority of these writers are overtly satisfied—and some hyper-satisfied—with who they are.
