Miss Lori

Miss Lori is an educator and life-long learner. She has decades of experience growing and nurturing the minds and hearts of her students, her own children, and herself.

As she writes, she imagines reading the words out loud to you, hearing you laugh, and seeing your love for the quirky characters. She uses humor to gently remind people to embrace themselves and their experiences when learning about life.

By the way, Miss Lori is also the illustrator! This is to show you that pictures don’t have to be perfect, and it’s OK to have your own style.

Books by Miss Lori

Is it wishful thinking that sees young Jackie flying into the sky one night or the granting of a wish that takes her from the heavens back down to Earth, where she embraces her own unique self?

It’s both!

Jackie’s Star takes children on a ride from the ordinary to the extraordinary. In the end, Jackie makes a friend, and they both learn a valuable lesson on the importance of being true to who they really are.
